1st Canadian Women In The Wind Chapter ~Est. 1988
In the late 1980's, Lin Litousky was tired of being one of the few female motorcyclists on rides and other events. She wanted to be able to share the thrill of biking with other women and to experience the same camaraderie as the male riders. She was, therefore, thrilled to see an advertisement in the Canadian Biker magazine for a Ladies Only Motorcycle Club. She contacted the women and on June 18, 1988, the Edmonton Chapter of Women In The Wind had their first ride. Since that time the chapter has seen some ups and downs in membership but whether up or down the direction has always been forward.
